59 CADDY COAT RACK
Every now an again I try and come up with a few things that may look cool in the shop and would also look great at home or a man cave or speed shop etc.
Well this time I thought I would make a cool coat rack using some parts and see where we end up and I am stoked how she turned out to be honest.
Have a look and see what you think as I know this will look great anywhere.
I made this using a 24 inch piece of red oak I had and sanded it then fitted New Chromed Coat Hooks and used Copper screws to add to the Nostalgia.
I then used some old piping and plumbing parts and started to make some bends, I used some old Brass Flanges for the base of the light and then I thought a neat look would be a pair of 1959 Cadillac Tail lights.
I also took the original bulbs out of the tail light assembly and wired house globes to them so they are now 110 volts and you simply plug in the wall and you are set.
I used stainless hardware where I could and to finish the back off I used some old Galvanized metal and screwed it to the rear to cover the wiring up.
This is a really cool looking Coat Rack and am sure it will look good in a house, a man cave, a shop or even a store or art gallery.
If some one truly is a Car nut in your family, what better way to surprise them with this cool set up.
